Make a joyful noise unto the Lord! There are a number of different Musical Ensembles at King of Glory
for those who enjoying singing in small or large groups:

EARLY SERVICE CHOIR
The Early Service Choir is a choral ensemble that sings on Sundays throughout the year at the 8:00 AM Worship. Membership is open to all who enjoy singing praise to the Lord from high school age and up. Rehearsals are held each Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM in the Church sanctuary. New members are always welcome!

KING OF GLORY CHANCEL CHOIR
The King of Glory Chancel Choir is a choral ensemble that sings primarily at the 11:00 AM Worship and occasionally at the 9:30 AM Worship as well as at special festival services. Membership is open to everyone who would like to sing praise to the Lord from high school age and up. The Chancel Choir meets weekly for rehearsal in the Church on Wednesday evening at 7:15 PM.  Please feel free to stop by and listen, or better yet, come and sing!  New members are always welcome!

CHERUB CHOIR
The Cherub Choir is composed of children of preschool and kindergarten age. The children rehearse on Thursdays at 4:00 PM in The Music Room during the school year (September through June) and sing periodically during Sunday Worship.

THE KING'S KIDS
The King’s Kids is a choir composed of children in First through Sixth grades. The kids meet for rehearsal on Thursdays at 4:30 PM in the Church sanctuary during the school year (September through June) and sing at least once a month during Sunday Worship and during Christmas and Easter.

YOUTH ENSEMBLE
The Youth Ensemble is designed especially for youth in 6th grade and up. Rehearsals for this new ensemble are held on Wednesdays at 5:00PM in the Sanctuary. The Youth Handbell Ensemble will sometimes sing and sometimes ring handbells…and sometimes even do both! Lots of fun!

NEWSONG
NewSong is a new ensemble that will help lead worship through biblically based contemporary songs and hymns. We welcome singers and instrumentalists who are eager to serve the Lord in song! Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings at 8:00 PM in the Church sanctuary. New members are welcome! Sing to the Lord a new song!

SUMMER SINGERS
Calling all singers! Summer is a great time to SING in a choir! Summer Singers is an informal ensemble open to all ages. Participants would sing when they are able throughout the summer. A great short-term commitment!

FESTIVAL CHOIR
For festive celebrations, such as Christmas Eve and Easter, the Festival Choir will be formed from members of the King of Glory Chancel Choir and Early Service Choir as well as others who might wish to sing. There are usually special rehearsals for this ensemble. The Festival Choir is the perfect opportunity for those looking for a short-term commitment in music ministry! Sing to the Lord!

GUEST ENSEMBLES and ARTISTS
Throughout the year, special Christian musical guests and ensembles are invited to glorify the Lord in worship or in concert. These events also serve as a “musical outreach” to the community.

KING OF GLORY HANDBELL CHOIR
The Handbell Choir is open to people of all ages who enjoy making music with handbells. You don’t have to be an accomplished musician…you just have to love music and enjoy making music and fellowship with others! The Handbell Choir rings about once per month during Sunday worship services as well as festival services. A select Handbell Ensemble is formed from this group to help accompany choral pieces throughout the year. Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM in the Church sanctuary.

INSTRUMENTALISTS
Opportunities for sharing your musical gifts and talents through solo and ensemble performance is encouraged!  Instrumentalists can either perform separately or with another ensemble.

WORSHIP MUSIC COMMITTEE
The Worship Music Committee is an advisory group whose purpose is to support the Pastoral and Music Staff in providing for and nurturing the worship life of King of Glory. The committee provides encouragement, help, feedback and suggestions to enhance congregational worship and music life.

THE KING’S PLAYERS
Communicating the love of God through His Word is an essential ministry…and the Lord calls us to be creative! For those who enjoy the performing, dramatic arts, opportunity exists to use your gifts and talents through chancel drama and theatrical productions.  The King's Players often use their performances to support mission work and ministires of King of Glory.  Visit their website at kingsplayerswilliamsburg.com.
