CHRIST CARE GROUPS
In the early church, the book of Acts records that believers gathered for fellowship and teaching “publicly and from house to house.” (Acts 20:20) It was important for the church’s growth and encouragement that they gather around the Word and share their faith. It was important to the church then…and it is important for the church now!
King of Glory is a ChristCare Small Group Ministry congregation. ChristCare Small Groups are, at their heart, circles of care with Christ at the center. They seek to help Christians grow as devoted and mature followers of Jesus, to seek God, to care for one another and to serve God by serving others.
The key elements of a ChristCare group activity are community building and care; biblical equipping; prayer and worship; and missional service. We at King of Glory appreciate the power of this opportunity to serve the Lord, both for individuals as well as for the congregation as a whole. A number of ChristCare groups exist now and will expand as the congregation grows and as the power of this ministry becomes more and more apparent to the membership overall.

ALPHA
In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus calls His Church “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). ALPHA is an eleven week course that explores the validity and relevance of the Christian faith for our lives today. How often have you heard people say, “This religion stuff is confusing. How does it apply to me today?” Well, Alpha is a way of breaking down those kinds of roadblocks to understanding the faith we share. There are many opportunities to serve with the ALPHA course: from group leaders to teachers, from hospitality hosts to meal servers and preparers.

SHEPHERD MINISTRY
The Shepherd Ministry provides for caring communication between members of the King of Glory Church family. A Shepherd is assigned “to keep watch” over five families and try to make personal contact with those families at church gatherings and through other means. The Shepherd Ministry provides not only an informal level of care to individuals, but also a vital network of communication for the Church in case of emergency and special concerns. Shepherds are not “stand-ins” for the Elders or Pastor, but servants who aid in communicating and “touching base” with Church members on a regular basis. New Shepherds are always needed and welcome!

ABLAZE!
ABLAZE! is a movement within the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod to help raise awareness and highlight the need for reaching the lost – those who do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The movement hopes to mobilize the church to reach 100 million unchurched and uncommitted people by the year 2017 – the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Christian education for children, youth and adults is an important part of King of Glory’s life together as a church community! We are people who are “in the Word” to be equipped as committed members of the Body of Christ!
SUNDAY SCHOOL – POWER HOUR!
Our Sunday School serves children from age 2 through high school. It meets every Sunday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. In addition to Sunday classes, the Sunday School also presents a special Christmas Program each year to help spread the Good News!
Be a part of the spiritual foundation of our youth by volunteering to be a Sunday School teacher. This is a fine opportunity for Christian fellowship with the teaching staff as well as our growing brothers and sisters in Christ, our church's future.

ADULT BIBLE STUDY – POWER HOUR!
Regularly scheduled on Sundays at 9:30AM, this is an opportunity to enhance your spiritual knowledge of the Holy Scriptures as well as to meet in Christian fellowship with others from the congregation as well as visitors and guests. An additional Sunday morning class is offered at 11:00 AM especially for those who attend the 9:30 AM Worship.
Bible Study topics vary; we strive to have at least two options every Sunday morning. The classes meet in the Life Enrichment Classrooms and/or the Fellowship Hall.
Coordinator: Pastor George Lobien
CHILDREN’S CHURCH
We believe that children belong in worship! We also believe that young children should be fed spiritually during the worship service along with the rest of the family. Children’s Church provides an opportunity for young children (ages 3 through 8) to learn about Jesus at their level of understanding. Kids are dismissed after the Children’s Message and go to Children’s Church were they learn about Jesus at their level of understanding during the Sermon time. They then return to worship with their families after a time of creative learning. People are needed to help with this important ministry.

The class is an introductory class for membership at King of Glory Lutheran Church as well as a great “refresher” for those who want to revisit the basics of the Christian faith.
SEMINARS
Part of the vision for the King of Glory Fellowship Hall was that our church would be a place where people would gather for Biblical study and faith enrichment. To that end, King of Glory hosts various speakers throughout the year to present seminars designed to encourage spiritual growth and Christian witness.
